The batteries are cheaper than their European analogs, at the same time the quality corresponds to all international standards. VLADAR goods are universal thanks to constructive adaptation of the product for a specific customer needs.

Kharkov battery plant «Vladar» was founded in December 1992 and during the years of its existence has become one of the leading manufacturers of industrial lead-acid batteries in Eastern Europe. The batteries are cheaper than their European analogs!

The company produces a wide range of products for the objects of energy production and distribution, for emergency power supply, telecommunication and communication systems, for emergency lighting, security systems, and for any others that require independent and uninterrupted power supply.

Since 1996 our company is a major supplier of lead-acid batteries for the needs of Ukrainian railroad «Ukrzaliznytsia». Currently, more than 85% of Ukrainian locomotives and 100% of railway crossing interlocking systems are equipped with our batteries.

Constantly expanding the territory of cooperation, in 2004 VLADAR launches regular supplies of starter (for diesels) and automatic block batteries to the Belarusian Railways, in 2005 VLADAR begins supplying Russian and Kazakh Railways, then in 2007 – Baltic countries and the Caucasia.

Creation of the whole range of sealed lead-acid batteries for both rolling stock and means of automation and telemechanics became an innovation stage to VLADAR.

Sealed batteries do not emit any products of electrochemical reactions, thus there is no need in special battery premises. Furthermore, such batteries have good resistance to low temperatures.

Thanks to their low maintenance cost and significantly lower price (in comparison with the analogues and alkaline batteries) VLADAR sealed lead-acid batteries are widely used by Ukrainian railways. Currently, more than 400 passenger cars of Ukrainian railroad are equipped with the batteries of this type. In 2011 VLADAR started to supply its batteries to railway companies from such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. Taking into account the particular urgency of rail safety, the new maintenance-free battery 7 2OPzV 120 (14V 120 Ah) was designed in 2014; it’s intended to supply signaling interlocking systems of railway crossings equipped with lift gates.

The competitive advantage of this battery is the possibility of its installation in staff rooms.

Thanks to GEL electrolyte there is almost no burn risk for battery users, this can also improve the performance of labor protection. Thus, while maintaining restricted voltage of floating charge and end of recharge the batteries have little or no gas emission.

In addition, these batteries are more stable to low temperatures and have increased resistance to railway vibrations thanks to their tubular positive plates.

High technical culture of VLADAR enterprise was confirmed by the international certificate of quality ISO 9001: 2009. The company is constantly expanding its product range and is increasing operating characteristics of the products. By 2018 VLADAR will produce the series of batteries designed for urban-suburban trains.

All products are certified within Ukrainian certification system UkrSEPRO and complies with the basic requirements of EU directives and harmonized standards of the European Union. At the same time our products are 15-20% cheaper than their European analogues.

The main idea of the development and implementation of this type of battery is to relieve the staff of the need for constant monitoring of electrolyte level, leakage currents and to minimize operating costs due to increased reliability and battery autonomy.

Unlike flooded batteries, sealed batteries have a number of significant advantages, namely they are:

  • Sealed battery of a new generation contains gel electrolyte instead of liquid one, thus there is no need for constant monitoring and electrolyte level adjustment during the battery operation; there are no leakage currents that can be caused by water filling or during train operation like in case of liquid electrolyte. Moreover, even if the battery container is broken (cracks, splits) it is still possible to use the battery within 3 months until the paste hardens;
  • No need in additional space for batteries storage (batteries can be stored in premises with no additional security measures)
  • Battery life is up to 8 years, the warranty is up to 3 years.
  • Compared with flooded batteries, gel batteries are significantly more powerful at low temperatures, that allows their application instead of alkaline batteries; in addition, gel battery is 20-25% cheaper than alkaline one. When using VLADAR gel batteries (50 battery sets) for passenger carriages, the economic effect is quite considerable.

The battery 56L 02 300G provides continuous operation of climatic equipment of a carriage up to 4 hours (heating in winter and air conditioning in summer).

To date approximately 400 passenger cars of Ukrainian Railroad «Ukrzaliznytsia» are successfully operated with the batteries of this type. Since 2011 VLADAR delivers these batteries to the company PESA Bydgoszcz SA (Poland) and installs them on HYUNDAI Rotem and Skoda trains.

On the basis of the enterprise there is a service center and hotline, that ensure a сomprehensive assistance to consumers regarding batteries installation and provide technical assistance in the operation of batteries for its entire life. Service center experts have modern equipment to carry out the necessary on-site works.

DESIGN:

Both electrodes are made of patented lead-calciumtin alloy providing long battery service life.

Negative electrode — pasted grid plate of improved geometry.

Positive electrode — tubular plate filled with unique multifractional active material PLUDERTEC® providing higher cell lifetime along with required electrical characteristics.

Separation: microporous separator with very low resistance.

Container: the containers of cells are made of impact and frostresistant ABS-polypropylene.

Cassette racks: sections can be supplied with special metal cassette racks with multilayer polymer coating, that eases installation of batteries.

System of regulating valves: provides maintenance of overpressure inside the battery as well as recombination of oxygen produced during the process of operation and also the absence of water loss. The battery doesn’t need electrolyte control during all life time term.

Electrolyte: GEL.

Pole terminal — bolt M12.

Temperature range: -50°C … +40°C.

Service life: not less than 8 years in case of proper operation.

Sealed maintenance-free batteries VLADAR OPzV

OPzV batteries

OPzV batteries are designed for use in areas with high environmental requirements. These batteries are developed in collaboration with the leading Ukrainian manufacturers of solar panels. The batteries can be used in alternative energy systems, power plants and substations, railways, telecommunications and other types of power systems.

A special feature of these batteries is an extremely low gassing level during operation and the complete absence of electrolyte emission, which allows installation of this battery type even in staff rooms.

DESIGN:

Both electrodes are made of patented lead-calciumtin alloy providing long battery service life.

Positive electrode — tubular plate filled with unique multifractional PLUDERTEC® active material providing higher cell lifetime along with required electrical characteristics.

Negative electrode — pasted grid plate.

Separation: electrodes are separated by special highporous separator made of polymeric materials.

Container and lid: made of impact plastic that enables easy service and mechanical stability during all service life.

Electrolyte: GEL.

Regulating valves: special plugs with regulating valve provide maintenance of overpressure inside the battery as well as recombination of oxygen produced during the process of operation and as a result – the absence of water loss.

Pole terminal: sealed pole terminal for bolt M10.

Temperature range: -20°С … +45°С (+20°С is preferable).

Service life: at least 10 years in floating charge mode at proper operation.

Diesel Locomotive Battery VLADAR TN

For over 20 years we produce TN batteries for diesel and shunting locomotives.

Currently VLADAR TN batteries (32TN-450, 48TN-450, 32TN-550, 55TN-150G) are widely used by Ukrainian enterprises and are exported to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan.

The batteries of TN series contain positive and negative electrodes made of lead alloy with low antimony content. Envelope-separator, made of polymer materials in combination with glass fiber, activates materials conductivity reducing the loss in capacity during the functional lifetime.

The features of batteries, manufactured by this technology, provide important consumer characteristics.  Life time under right use is up to 8 years. Low gassing and small water consumption significantly reduce the frequency of maintenance works – once in 6 months is enough; charged battery can be stored without recharging up to a year, excellent performance at low and high temperatures.

VLADAR produces stationary batteries OPzS with the capacities of 100 to 3000 Ah, these batteries are used to provide uninterrupted power supply to power plants, traction substations, heat stations, power stations, nuclear power plants.

Our batteries are manufactured in accordance with all EU and Ukrainian technical regulations and requirements; they fully comply with the best world analogs.

DESIGN:

Positive electrode: tubular plate filled with unique active material PLUDERTEC® providing higher cell lifetime along with required electrical characteristics.

Negative electrode: pasted grid plate made of cpecial patented lead alloy providing long battery service life.

Separation: electrodes are separated by special highporous separator made of polymeric materials.

Electrolyte: water solution of sulfuric acid with density of 1.240±0.005 g/cm3

Pole terminal: sealed pole terminal with solid brass bush for bolt M10.

Container and lid: made of impact plastic that enables easy service and mechanical stability during all service life. Both cell sides have marking of minimal and maximum electrolyte levels.

Ventilation plugs: plugs design prevents electrolyte splashing even at charging with higher voltage. Ceramic plugs are applied as extra means of ignition prevention (to increase safety) and partial catalytic recombination (to decrease water loss).

Connectors: high quality flexible isolated connectors.

Temperature range: from +5°С to +45°С (+20°С is preferable).

Installation: all standard installations in vertical position and on isolated racks are acceptable.

Service life: not less then 20 years (at buffer mode)
